We came here as a group of 6 hoping to enjoy the outdoor dining. Indoors is dark, unintentionally retro and had a Jimmy Buffett-like live music set going on. Reminded me of Panama City, FL in the 80's. Out door, was a bit brighter and somewhat chilly. I tried the Jambalaya which isn't authentic, but warm on a cold evening. This dish includes char-broiled chicken, diced Andouille sausage, shrimp, onion, celery, green bell peppers, garlic, tomatoes, spices and rice. One of our guests was from NYC and really enjoyed the 1969 Marina del Rey ambiance. The Warehouse has a spotty, but decent wine list. We were able to try a good cabernet even if it didn't exactly go with seafood Jambalaya. Service is a bit slow, but a decent quiet non-chain dinner spot.

This place is laughable. Honestly ridiculous. How bad can a restraunt actually be. It gives the illusion of being fancy and nice. Thats until the food comes out and people walk up to your table. My Caesar salad was so disgusting. All the hard old white chunky pieces of Romain lettuce stewed in ceasar dressing for hours. My sister ordered skewers and didnt realize it came with beef as well as chicken and she doesnt eat red meat. She asked if there was any way to get 2 chicken skewers instead. At any normal restraunt this would have not been a problem. Joe Montana or whatever the hell the managers name is came out and proceeded to tell my sister how it clearly states in the menu what the dish comes with. And also told my sister she would have to pay for more chicken. My sister has worked in the restraunt business for over 20 years so the managers reaction was just laughable to her. After a few minutes 2 chicken skewers came out. So at least they realized how wrong they were. Go for the ambiance nothing else.

I was invited here for the Sunday champagne brunch buffet and it turned out better than I expected. They had a pretty wide selection of foods and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure a person could find something they like among the various choices even if not everything is great or to their liking. They had prime rib, turkey, ham, fried chicken, salmon, barbecue ribs, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, cooked veggies, some Mexican and Asian dishes, two soups, crab legs, shrimp, various salads including a Cobb salad and beet salad, and a good spread of breakfast items like an omelette station, sausage, bacon, hash browns, waffles, bread pudding, scrambled eggs, etc. For dessert, they had various cakes (carrot, chocolate, cheesecake) and pies (pumpkin, Boston cream, pecan), cookies, and a chocolate fountain with strawberries. We sat outside where the views of the Marina are wonderful and the weather was great. Josue was our friendly and playful server who made sure my glass of mimosa was filled and refilled properly. Believe it or not, after all these years, this was my first visit here. I've been to most of the other restaurants along Admiralty Way but never ate here. Shanghai Red's is pretty similar in the way of food and decor. Valet was $3.75.

Bottomless mimosas and a decent buffet selection. Servers were quick to refill, always friendly and helpful. Wonderful setting right by the harbor.

This place is fun. We loved the view. We weren't expecting much for the food or the service (after reading some Yelp reviews) but wow were we surprised. The filet mignon was excellent - perfectly cooked and seasoned. The iceberg wedge salad with bacon bits (of course) was good too. Our waiter was surprisingly cool - and reasonably attentive. The place was dead - it was a Tuesday night. Prices were a surprise as well - the filet mignon is on a special Monday & Tuesday for under $ 20. And wine by the bottle was half-price....... I really hope that this place sticks around. It's a beautiful place to watch the sunset and the vibe is quintessential 1970s Marina del Rey.

This review is for Sunday Brunch.... We attended yesterday for brunch and it was pretty good. The service was the best. I don't remember her name but she was excellent! She checked on us multiple times..had a very pleasant attitude and refilled the coffee and mimosas without us asking. The service was superb! The decor on this inside is a little dated but i guess it kinda goes with the theme a little and the name so that's cool i guess. Tip for you ladies: if your walking in on pointy heels be careful! The wood planks at the entrance are separated a bit and your heels can easily get stuck. We sat on the outdoor patio overlooking the marina. It was beautiful and the weather was perfect...not super hot and not cold either. The buffet is sectioned off. On one side you have your breakfast items, waffle station and omelet station. I think they should have an extra person at the omelette station instead of just one...they guy was pretty busy, but he made my omelette perfect! The food was cool. My hash browns were cold and bacon overcooked for my liking, other than that i enjoyed it very much. I liked the prime rib, waffles, shrimp and salads the most. The selection of salads was great and all the greens were fresh. If you go of course you want to sit on the outdoor patio which has excellent views of the marina. I had a nice time overall and will return.

Rather sickening. We were visiting LA and wanted to eat on the marina. The service was fine. The food seemed OK. Not great, but OK. Had Oysters and the Yellowtail special. Within two hours after we ate, my wife got violently sick. We called the restaurant to let them know, and they said the fish was fresh and it couldn't possibly be them... that food poisoning won't show up for 24 hours. However, according to the National Institute of Health, 2-4 hours is the most common window for Ciguatera or Scromboid food poisoning, and from past experience, it sure seemed to be related to the dinner.

This place is really pretty sad. Like some have said already, it has a very over the top nautical theme which is pretty shabby but still kind of fun, it probably seems really cool to kids. I'm being too kind. It's pretty much a dump. The setting on the water in the marina is pretty nice, though. And our waiter was very friendly, (although he seemed very rushed even though the place was 2/3 empty.) The food was just passable. Not very good, but edible. The prices are in line with what you'd pay at a much better place, so there's no real value here. There was a live band playing inside on the night we went, a weekend night I'm pretty sure. Anyway, they were VERY cheesy. Luckily, you could sit outside farther away from the band, and it wasn't as loud. Your grandparents visiting from the MidWest would probably like The Warehouse. It looks and tastes like it's stuck in a Time Warp. You can almost picture a time in the past when this place was good. It basically sucks now, though.

The food here is just ok. I like to come here for a quick and easy lunch. I routinely order the mahi mahi or the halibut tacos. The mahi is dry but the halibut is predictably good. There are two stars of this place. First the view is amazing! Second the drinks are delicious and strong. I never eat here without ordering a drink. The happy hour is amazing. The mai-tai and margarita drinks are cheap but potent. There is tasty barfood like wings to soak up the booze. They also have a prime rib dinner special once a week.

The pros: -Cute nautical decor -A pretty view of the Marina -Good food The cons: -Pricey -Lame FORCED valet parking (I went on a Tuesday night and parked my car myself since the valet was nowhere in sight. As soon as I got out of my car he asked for my keys and gave me a ticket so that I had to pay $4 for valet, what a joke!!) -A lady walking around and selling roses AND a photographer asking to take your photo gave the ambiance a weird forced romantic feel... Although the food was good, the valet thing really, really annoyed me.

I always loved visiting the Warehouse and loved their brunches - my favorite. I would take people there when they were visiting and everyone had a great time and enjoyed the food. Eating on the outside deck against the marina was always refreshing. Went there for a xmas holiday buffet one year and it was stellar. The pricing was not bad for what you got: fresh roasted, carved meats, seafood, sushi, and every other side dish you could imagine. The menu is diverse and there is something for everyone - so you really can't go wrong there. I'd definitely go there again when I'm in the area.

I don't often take the time to write reviews on restaurants. In this case, I felt obligated. I had brunch here the Sunday of Labor Day weekend with a group of friends (one of them chose). First thing I noticed: this place is valet only. $3.75. Fine. Not the worst. Sat out in the back patio area where the view was actually quite nice. Sun was beating down on our table though so we requested the umbrella be put up. Waiter made a smart comment. "The sun moves. That's what the sun does." Fine. We put the umbrella up ourselves. No big deal buddy. On to the FOOD. Breakfast on the one side and Lunch on the other. My friend and I scoped out both before we grabbed plates. Immediately reminded me of a Vegas buffet on it's last leg. The roast beef was supremely overcooked. The shrimp was being massacred by flies. The majority of the rest was crusty from having sat over food warmers for so long. Omelets with more cheese than egg. Hash-browns mushy. Salad wilted. Cheesecake room-temperature. I could go on and on. I didn't eat a single piece of food that I enjoyed. I put food on my plate because I knew I was already paying. Simply put. It was terrible. So halfway through the meal we were approached by a European lady who offered us a FREE PHOTO. Sure why not. I love free. She returned with a little thumb-sized picture of the group. Then asked if we were interested in buying a photo for something like $20. We jokingly asked if we could take a photo of her photo. She didn't appear happy. Made a remark about this being America and people having to pay for other peoples photos due to Copyright laws. We didn't know what she meant, but I think the restaurant needs to do away with this service all together. Overall, I can't justify giving this place more than 1 star. It's expensive (~$45 after tax, tip and valet). Food is terrible. Service is mediocre at best. Decor is dark and dated. I left here feeling cheated and hungry. I will never recommend this place. I will never return.

Came here tonight with 3 other people we made reservations for 9pm but were 30 min early and got seated right away with a pretty view. We ordered a Caesar salad as an appetizer it was delicious! Our food was delicious!! And I asked for extra sun dried tomatoes and he literally brought me a bowl full of it I was so happy.(tomato freak) our server was great our food was great and it was a really cute and interesting place. Will definitely be back!! AND not too pricey at all.

You gotta figure The Warehouse must be doing something right, having survived 45 years. But for the life of me I can't figure it out. The food is OK, but nothing special, the ambience is dated, but the views of the boats are nice. It must be surviving on the tourist trade. I've never smelled anything so bad in my life as the men's room... it was clean, but there must be a septic problem or dead fish under the floor. I actually had to hold my shirt over my nose to mask the smell.

Fish and Chips-3 stars, Service-3 stars, Value for Price-2 stars, Ambiance on the patio-4.5 stars, letting our group's kids run around and play at the table and out front near the koi-5 stars... All in all 3 stars, good place for families! This place could really be something if they fixed it up, changed the name and got a decent chef... but then again it's that culinary black hole called the Marina

I came here with my family on Mother's Day. From a distance the outside looked great, very jungle like. Valet parking only. When we walked it it was very dark and had a funky smell. The restrooms were super dirty. Mentioned it to the manager and he seemed very annoyed by it. The staff was very unorganized because they called my party up twice without even seating us. The first time he called my party up he told me that we would be seated. After 15 mins he called us again then we waited another 10 mins. He should have just called us when the table was ready. Finally after an hour and a half and getting called up twice we were finally seated. The booth's seemed super old and dated, When the waiter brought us to our table there wasn't a set up. Thankfully our waitress was very accommodating and nice. When we received our food it was a hit and miss. The chicken marsala and the jambalaya were both great. The steak and the asian chicken not so great. Overall: this place need a major update and also a more friendly and helpful staff.

Let me start by saying, the staff is great! Heavy hand with champagne. Food was very good, crab legs and shrimp, fresh waffles! Get outside seating and enjoy the breeze from the marina! Did I mentioned heavy hand mimosas!

So I dropped by here the other day (after another sailing session) and after some discussion with my sailing buddies, I have revise my previous advice. We had pretty much the same thing so I can provide comparisons: Spinach & Artichoke Dip - Watery, and clearly not prepared fresh. Flavorless. Quesadilla - I assume this was chicken but I am no longer able to tell exactly what it is. It did not taste particularly great. Calamari - No longer crispy and flavorful. More like...limp and soggy. Our general discussion at the dinner table revolved around the topic: how does this place stay in business? The food is not great, even though the location is... The service is OK at best. Oh and make sure not to fall in the pool outside the entrance...it looks dangerous. In any case, if you happen to read this before voting with your dollars, head elsewhere, such as to Cafe Del Rey down the way.

  • David H.

NO. Gross! Total tourist trap. Seriously disappointing. Oysters were questionable. Calamari was definitely store bought from a bag. Filet mignon tasted like over-seasoned, overcooked horse meat. And the so-called Malaysian prawns were rubbery and smelled funny in a bad way. Yes, the restaurant itself looks cool. And that's it. Go anywhere but here. Your stomach and wallet will thank you.

I decided to have my birthday brunch here. I had a party of about 10 people. I had heard such great things about the brunch- Variety of food, bottomless champagne, and just an all around great dining experience. That was so not the case:/ well I can say the bottomless champagne was all I have expected, but everything else....Ugh! My party and I had just sat down, our waiter had come with a round of water. He accidentally dropped the tray of water glasses on me and my side of the table. I understand accidents.... but then he just stood there..... I stood up grabbed some napkins and began to clean myself up only then did he began to help me. No other wait staff offered to help (mind you the restaurant was not very crowded). water was on the floor, all over the table, chairs .....It was a mess. All he had was one little towel to clean with.....I actually had to ask him to bring a mop or more towels...SMH. The Food: Although there was a huge assortment of food, it was all bland and some items were cold. Some items need to be freshened up, I had to ask for fresh food. Food that wasn't dried up on the side of the bowl. So to sum up I sat with wet clothes my entire birthday brunch and the food was not great at all. Good thing the champagne kept coming to drown away the bad experience.

Um there was a hair in the cheeseburger so that was really gross. But they gave us 2 free desserts, didnt charge for the burger, and a free photo of our group. The hawaian mahi mahi was delicious, i subbed mushrooms for the mashed potatoes. The banana overdose was pretty good too, if you are a fan of bananas (which I am) :)

Food is really good here, very crowded lot of noise, fun fun fun on Fridays as I stayed for salsa dancing. I get stepped on, push over, hit on my head or shoulders, every time I dance there. I don't know why their regular dancers don't have any idea of their space. that is my only complaint.

Fantastic! I tried the Jumbo Shrimp plate. You receive 5 jumbo shrimp that is sure to fill you up :) Various different options as the side. I love broccoli and it was perfectly steamed. I also tried the scallop appetizer ... yummy for my tummy. Not very many scallops in there (about 4-5), but the dish as a whole is excellent. My husband had the Halibut plate. I tasted it and WOW! It doesn't get any better. Liked the cheesecake for dessert ... a tad dry, but my husband and I finished every last morsel - lol! Next time, I may try the Ahi Tuna.

Tonight I called to make reservations at the warehouse at 7:30 for my party of 12... we were not seated until 8:30..an hour later. I understand if you're a busy restaurant, however you should accommodate those who called in advanced to make reservations. When I asked the hostess multiple times why it was taking so long she responded with a poor attitude. Upon waiting an hour, the service was horrible. When I politely asked the waiter to make me a simple pasta he responded with "I can't do that"...,when I re asked him again one more time why not he then replied with "oh maybe we can work something out"...overall my experience here at the Warehouse has been unpleasant, I hope my dinner changes my mind.

I was here for my aunts 91st birthday and while I'm grateful for her life. I was forced to leave her party early because after sitting for THREE hours, my food was not prepared properly. I was pleasant when ordering because it was a large party so I knew the waiter was a little frazzled. But he really showed his behind once the food starting coming out. I overheard him say to a coworker, this is f--king unbelievable I wrote down everything word for word and people are saying they did not order certain items. But clearly, he did not write it down correctly because my order was incorrect and I know what I ordered. We had to beg for bread which came after sitting for two hours. I ordered the chicken Marsala with a loaded baked potato NO BUTTER & NO SOUR CREAM. The potato was doused in sour cream. So they took the plate to remove the potato, then placed the plate back in front of me with the utensils laying in the gravy from the chicken. Who does that? I asked him for another knife & when he got an attitude, I was scared to eat the food; so I canceled the order. We arrived at 630, and the wrong plate was placed in front of me at 9:15. Again, where do they do this at? Oh yea...the Warehouse. I called Killer Shrimp ordered some dinner, kissed my family good-bye and RAN out of there. I have never been at a restaurant where the waiter got mad because he got the order wrong. I don't usually patronize the Warehouse, it has been about ten years since I've been there. At least yall are consistent; the service is still horrible. I cannot comment on the food...I never got any. Won't be back...ever!

This review is for Sunday brunch only. We were there yesterday for the second time. We found it to be good value for the money ($35.95}, very good food and great service. The salads were kept fresh, the eggs benedict were warm and juicy, all the trays were replaced before they were empty. By the way, a previous yelper said the shellfish was not kept on ice. That is not so. Lift up the leafy greens around it and the ice is underneath. Also, don't worry about that 2 glasses of champagne limit. Nobody seems to have told the waiters. Eat, drink, and enjoy!

Absolutely nothing good to say. The service was in attentive at best. The filet was awful. Braised ribs, awful. Chicken pasta, awful. Prime rib, barely average. Smoked Gouda mac and cheese, awful. (How do you screw up smoked Gouda mac and cheese?) Artichoke, terrible. When we walked in the door, we immediately started second guessing the decision to go there. Should have listened to our intuition. Just a horrible restaurant unless you have very low standards. I would rather eat at mcdonalds.

I went to their salsa dancing last night and I was refused tap water and that I had to pay $3 for a bottle. The guy at the bar said he was the manager but he clearly was not. He told me that the water was not working so he could not give out water to the customers that were sweating and dying of thirst. I saw him making drinks with tap water so that was an enormous lie. I paid my $8 entrance fee and did not want to drink any alcohol for the night. I left my purse with my money in it because I know the law for bars. They are supposed to give out free tap water to a customer and to not refuse it or make them pay for it. After that horrific and bad customer service by the bartender I looked for the owner. He apologized to me and rushed over a server to serve my 2 friends and I free tap ice water. My main point is not about the money because I could have clearly bought a bottle of water or a whole case. But I know the law and I was disturbed to be treated like a savage or be taken advantage of my rights. I will never ever go to their salsa nights on Fridays and or dine at their restaurant. The bartenders need to be educated about the basic laws about the bar and good customer service!

Was there today for brunch. Buffet is very large but the food is average at best, some items are just best avoided all together, price tag is high. Two star for outdoor seating and great view which is why you pay so much for poor food I guess.

Mojitos were sugar water, mine ( and a couple other ladies) salad orders were incorrect or switched. The highlight of the night is the banana foster dessert which was delish

Went here for the first time for brunch today, it was alright, I probably wouldn't voluntarily go back or go out of my way to go back. Chris, our server, was super nice and tentative to us. He was great! The food was just alright. It's definitely pricey if you're not drinking, as the brunch special is one set price of buffet and all you can drink, so it was aggravating that I had to pay the same price as someone who WAS drinking when I wasn't. It was like $45 or so after tax and tip for one person for buffet and drinks. It probably would have been worth it if I was having mimosas, but I wasn't. I definitely didn't eat $45.00 worth of food! Overall, it was alright.

The most enjoyable drinking experience while in LA. All you can drink mimosas at brunch. Uhm humnm something might pop off on the Marina. I was toastiedotcom overlooking the water was beautiful while swaggin & sippin. My alter ego couldn't take it. The buffet was enourmous! At this point, I was vulnerable. Omlettes, waffles, other breakfast foods, fish, steak etc. We really enjoyed the desserts..an array of cakes and cookies. I was satisfied as I slightly stumbled out of the warehouse lol. Next stop..the grove for happy shopping.

An outdoor patio on the water, and great rum drinks! This place is really relaxing. It has a cool view of the marina, and a huge outdoor patio. The service is typically SLOW. Don't come here if you are in a hurry. Most of the customers are old people who dont seem to usually care as much when the drinks arent coming fast enough. - Get the volcano. Its a flaming rum drink that always gets me smiling. - Get the barrel of rum. You get to keep the barrel! - Get the Jambalaya. Its great. Coming for Sunday brunch is a completely different experience. Its 40$ and all you can eat and drink. The food is alright and the champagne is awful. I have also noticed that when coming on a weekday for lunch the same food items arent quite as good as at dinner. Come for a sunset dinner or a saturday brunch.

So I came here hoping for some good seafood and actually was super bummed. The food was pretty bad.. the shrimp had that grainy over cooked and nasty texture to them.. the oysters rockafeller were pretty bad tasting as well.. not fresh.. skunky.. couldn't really even eat my food it was so bad. I loved the bad that was playing though.. a soul band that was playing some killer funky jams!

Laid back chill place. I went for happy hour and bite to eat. Wednesday's they have a great 2 man band and good drink/ food happy hour special. The place reminds me of Florida for some reason. The views of the Marina are nice. The food was good but not spectacular. The staff is great. They are all super nice. The only thing I thought was odd was they had someone take pics of you at your table and them they tried to sell it to you. They also had a lady going around trying to sell roses. Again odd. It felt like I was in mexico but in a not so good way.

There were 40 of us on a groom's dinner. Drinks were too expensive- wayyy too expensive. It was a Friday evening. Beautiful restaurant on the marina.. Dimly lit, romantic. As to the appetizers- we had calamari, nachos and chicken quesadillas, The calamari was excellent- tender and golden brown. The nachos were above average- the chips were crisp- not soggy. The filet mignon was well- prepared and cooked perfectly which is hard to do for a group of 40. The northern halibut was good but the fish could have stood on its own without a sauce. THe brownie dessert was remarkable and the ice cream was very good quality. THey had some kind of salsa dance program set for the evening. Considering that it was friday, when we left at 930, it was not well attended with only a dozen people on hand. The service was lousy. It was amazing how many waiters and waitresses just stood around. Our party had one waitress and one busboy. There were at least seven other serving staff on hand that did absolutely nothing. Or maybe they were part of the decor. There were not very many people there for dining-it would be customary to pitch in. In summary expensive with poor service, I am not coming back. It looks like all those waiters and waitresses are yelpers because there is no way this restaurant can be deserving of four stars Their fundamentals suck.

The only positive thing I have to say is that at least I had good friends to enjoy this horrible experience with. We should have known to leave the minute we sat down and heard all the tables around us complaining. The staff was horrible, food took 3 hours and was cold. They also double charged our credit card. I will never return, and hopefully you think twice before going to this place.

Yesterday was my first time at this restaurant and the experience was mediocre. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. One of the best settings I have ever seen for a fun, family dinner experience. The family all liked their food but my Marina Pasta was like a 3 out of 5, I've had better seafood pastas. Way over priced for the quality and regular portion size. The biggest let down of my experience was the horrible service by the waiter. We had a party of 10 and he rushed us all with a rude attitude. He messed up our order several times and did not check back to make sure our experience was going well. Every time we needed something we had to flag him down and he responded as if we were bothering him. I got the feeling that he did not want to be our server at all. When we paid at the end, he asked the dumbest question ever, jumping the gun without paying attention and insinuating that we shorted him on the bill, when we gave him exact change with a 17% gratuity included. However, the manager was very helpful and friendly along with the other employees. I may give this restaurant a second chance but will demand a different server.

We came here for our anniversary. The food was great the view was great and the drinks were great. The waiter was a bit slow but it didn't bother is since we had no where to be. The waiter remembered it was our anniversary and gave us free desert. I would go back.

The only good thing was the service by the waiter. There was food on the menu and on my glass once served to me. The bathroom was dirty and smelled bad and the overall appearance of the building was run down and not upscale as the menu suggests.

Have to update my review since my last visit... First, the fact I've haven't seen a B rating or lower in a restaurant makes me quench! Makes it more awkward that they try and hide it behind the decor. The quality of the food was very before average. Definitely fell before part since my last visit. Service is still good as all the staff is nice and attentive. But the price should be reduced dramatically due to the poor quality of food, the B rating from the health dept. and cleanliness. Dirty utensils and drinking glasses will turn you off as soon as you sit down. Not worth the $36 a person.

Never again... To start with, the service was despicable and insulting. We waited 15 minutes before even seeing a waiter to take our beverage order.....and then another 10 minutes only to find out they were out of the only non alcoholic beer on the menu. We then ordered our main dish, waited 25 minutes to find out they did not have the brochette we ordered. This was not a case of a few unfortunate errors...other groups at tables that surrounded us experienced the same disappointments. Even after the apologies, came another wait until they delivered the replacement dishes only to find out they had changed the ingredients without checking with us. The menu is misleading...the food was certainly not of a quality that deserves the pricing, and most definitely, I would not recommend ever going to this restaurant.

Although the service was great, the setting on the harbor ideal and the decor fun retro cozy - this was one of the worst restaurant meals I have had in a long time. The clam chowder was lukewarm at best and a thick gluey paste with no flavor. I also ordered the salmon thinking it would be a lighter, healthy option and it was swimming in cream and butter - completely unappealing. My friend had prime rib and it was cold and gray. Never again...

This place is really good. I enjoyed their chicken Marsala. It's honestly better then the one from Cheesecake Factory. They also have an amazing view of Marina Port. There isn't anything better than enjoying a nice well prepared meal and a nice view.

Review for Sunday Brunch.: For about $30 you get access to a wide variety of delicious options. Everything from the usual breakfast fare to a couple interesting options like kun pao chicken and a chocolate fountain. Did I mention it comes with unlimited mimosas? For some people that alone is worth the $30 :D Clean place and if you make a reservation ahead of time you can get a table outside near the docks where the view is legit gorgeous. Parking is $3 for valet only. Heard the salsa nights were pretty cool here too. An excuse to come back soon!

Was disgusted to see Mako Shark on their menu. A Critically Endangered species. I thought I would just avoid it on the menu and be sure nobody else ordered it so I wouldn't ruin the groups night. However regardless we would have been better off just leaving. The service was terrible and the restaurant was dirty. Food mediocre. I would give 0 stars if possible. YUCK! Do not support this restaurant.

I've been to this restaurant many time before & never had any issues. However, yesterday (Mother's Day) wasn't so great. It took about 15 minutes for our waiter to take our drink order, so by the time he came we were ready to order our food too. I proceed to give our waiter my drink & food order and he stops me and says he is only taking our drink order and will have to come back after he takes the drink order of his 30+ party upstairs because "that's how he stays organized." Ummmmm, ok. So, he comes back about 15 minutes later to finally take our order. Food comes out about 30 minutes later (an hour after we were seated) & our ALL of our food was cold. All 3 plates. Steaks, potatoes, veggies & all. It was clear that our food had been sitting for a while. So, we tell him and he responds with "let me see what I can do." Another moment where I'm like, ummmmm, ok. So another 25 or so minutes passed and we finally get our hot plates. Everything seemed to fine until my sister cut into her filet mignon that was supposed to be well done, and it was still raw. I would say it was rare. Far, far from well done. At that point, my sister had enough and didn't feel like waiting another 30 minutes for food. So, after all that time spent, she left starving. To top it off, they didn't even give us not a 5% discount for all of our troubles and wasted time. Not a great way to end Mother's Day. Very disappointed.

My brother delighted in the 70 percent water element, and I'd really like to pretend that the remaining 30 percent isn't a rundown element, but I'd be lying, because pretending in public is lying. Pretty much. The bridge is pretty spectacular. Yes, that thrown-together deathtrap is raising my final answer an entire star, watery deaths and Davy Jones' Locker and urchins and lobsters and other denizens feasting on your remains notwithstanding. Or withstanding all the way. The food is mediocre. The plates are supposed to be classic and kitschy, but they're just annoyingly heavy. With the recent passing of the Bahooka (RIP), there are even fewer SoCal places to enjoy the late-'40s/early-'50s Polynesian theme, but that doesn't help out The Warehouse too much. In fact, places like the Bahooka nailed exactly what The Warehouse has been trying to nail all these years. And I promise I'm not going all Heath Ledger and James Dean on you; no, I'm not glorifying the dead just because they died young. Bono can be a self-righteous, pompous piece of work, but he used to say most of his heroes were still alive and that's why they were his heroes, and there's a certain truth to that. But economics is a horribly complicated field, mostly because everyone is trying to give their children all the advantages without realizing that doing so assumes a zero-sum game, which I kind of assume as well, but why isn't anyone talking about that? It's quite simple. Unless there are unlimited and/or untapped resources, whatever you take is something that someone else doesn't have. You can either try to make it fair; or you can be a greedy cuss and then claim that God or nature or evolution or morality or humanity or the invisible hand is on your side; and with God or nature or evolution or morality or humanity or the invisible hand on your side, who can be against you? The answer, of course, is me. And I'm an absolute bear to deal with. So take that, The Warehouse. And Milton Friedman.

I cannot believe I haven't reviewed this place yet!!! I've been here a few times for Sunday/Champagne brunch, and have always enjoyed myself... BRUNCH FOOD/DRINK: As mentioned, I've only been here for Sunday/Champagne brunch, so this is the food I will be reviewing. The food includes your standard brunch items, including sausage, bacon, eggs, potatoes, an omelet station. It also has seafood (score!), pasta, and lunch-type items. Nothing is of bad quality. Also, don't be fooled by the website saying you can only have two glasses of champagne during the meal... they will keep refilling your glass as you request. =) LOCATION/AMBIANCE: When you walk up to the restaurant, you get this wood-y feel from the building that really makes you feel like you're outside of L.A. Feels more sailor-ish than West LA hip, but that is what sets it apart I suppose. Inside, the décor also matches this fisherman's type dining experience; its interesting and everyone I've brought thus far has enjoyed it. The restaurant is right along the water and when it is nice out, there is a patio to enjoy overlooking the marina. It's a little more casual outside b/c its more plastic tables, but it's a great view. We always have a group of 6 or more and there are often other large groups, all who seem to be enjoying themselves like us. Great for catch up sessions as you eat, drink, and chit chat with friends and family! BRUNCH SERVICE: Since you serve yourself your own food during brunch, there aren't many expectations on the serving staff. Sometimes the service gets a little slow on the refills, but it's OK... we keep an eye on the staff. ;-) The omelet person is always quite nice though. Bottom line - Definitely returning here for another brunch, although I guess one day I'll have to try their actual dinner...

Wow, we went there on a Friday night to dance salsa and we all loved it. We had so much fun. The atmosphere, people, music were all great. Cover was only $8 which is OK. We decided to go thee at least once a month. See ya all soon!

We were visiting LA on vacation and walked to the Warehouse. Everyone's meal was average. Service was good. But I don't think you are paying for the quality of food here, you are paying for the view. We sat outside with great views of the Marina. Just beautiful.

This place used to be a five star in my book for a long time. It was one of the go to places for Sunday Brunch. The last few years, the quality of the food has gone down, the place is typically not busy, in most cases, empty. The prices have gone way up and it is not worth the value. I will say that the service has always been good. The setting by the water is also a plus.

Service: for some reason early evening on Sunday the service was painfully slow. Food: really good. I recommend the crispy calamari appetizer, and the Gouda Mac and Cheese. The drinks could have been stronger. The ambiance is pretty cool. The view is fine if you like staring at boats. When I read ocean view, I kind of expect to see the ocean. I've found that a lot of these "high end" and "ocean view" restaurants are usually around Marinas, not literally ocean view.

Past it's prime. Maybe once an LA celebrity hot spot, it's not now. There are no current celebrity photos on the wall- only ones from 30 years ago and I suspect the place hasn't been renovated since! I get it's supposed to look like a run down warehouse- but it now stands up its persona. Initial impression is that the ownership isn't prideful of keeping things clean - too many dust collector items that haven't been dusted. The staff was a little scattered walking in the service was marginal. Food was just ok- and was pricey for what was served. Will say the corn and crab chowder was delicious. Would be hesitant to recommend as there are better choices nearby.

First time I ate I had a great experience food was good but last Sunday not good experience the lady that works in from tall little on the heavy side was not to nice I reserved a table at 12:30 got a table around 1:30 I see customer arriving and they were getting a table right away, so I went and to talk to her I asked her I was here before that couple she said I specifically ask for a table with a view which was not true I just wanted a table I was starving. One more thing they need to have refreshment for people who are waiting for more than an hour, my friend ask for a sprite they say oh you have to wait until to get a table! Come on what kind of customer service is that? Not to happy with the service!

A bit pricey , but food is yummy. We had no reservations, but we were seated immediately. The waiter was very nice and accommodating. Was way to full for dessert. The view of the Marina just puts you at ease. I would come back for a special occasion with family

The poor reviews were daunting but since one of our party of six has a fondness for this frozen in time Marina haunt, off we went. On a Sunday, early evening on July 4th weekend, we parked ourselves given handicap needs. Valet was indifferent but we did not need to give up our car key. Everything is as dark and dusty as we remembered with the island theme and framed celebrity photos since our first visit in the 1970's. Greeter and seater were friendly, pleasant and welcoming in reception area. We had requested an inside window table but those six tables were taken. Staff suggested a patio table and it was scenic. Greeter took our drink orders as server was busy. Appetizers, entrees - steamed artichoke, shrimp, seafood pasta were average taste, cost and size. Server was attentive and personable. A woman offered photo op. Heat lamps were lit as requested. Outdoor scenery and location is the attraction. Overpriced overall - 5 out of 10 for food quality. Staff appeared to be trying but morale seems low with over half the restaurant empty despite holiday weekend.

We were seated and then waited an hour before my friend got up to ask for someone to take our order. My salad was overdressed and the dressing was overly sweet. But I was starving at that point so I ate just about half my salad. When they picked up plates no one asked how we were doing. They drop off the entrees. My scallops are over cooked. Severely. Crabcake was just nasty and sitting in a pool of sauce. Clams were ok but a couple of them didn't even open. Shrimp scampi was ok. Not great but ok. During the meal no one asked how our food was. Not even after did they ask. My friend is in the restaurant business. She has worked at some high end places. I frequently dine at nice restaurants. If you're going to charge $25 for plate of fish it better be damned good and the service should be excellent. When the check came we asked for the manager. I was really surprised how unapologetic he was and how the whole thing was handled. They did comp us a round for the long wait. And after having to explain how disappointed we were, he finally agreed to take one of our dishes off the check (we had ordered the same thing). We were not looking for a free meal. I am happy to pay good money for good food. If they had bothered to check in with us during to meal we may have been able to get something different. Would I ever go there again? Heck no. My other girlfriend did enjoy her food in their defense. But then again, she had salmon. How hard is that to eff up?

Where do I begin? Came here with a big group for my brothers birthday. We were seated and omg their chairs are HUGE.. like they take up so much room! Where we were seated was SO HOT! No fans above us. No air. Only a slight breeze from the outside seating area. The bathrooms. DISGUSTING. Had to take my 2 year old and there are 3 stalls in the bathroom. First stall omg gross second stall dirty but toilet seat down didn't want to even touch anything. A girl comes out of the last stall and says that one was the best. GROSS lol come on clean it up! All the stars given are solely for food. I got the Atlantic salmon and it was the BOMB. I would come back again mainly for this! If it weren't for how good it was I would have given 1 star. So, in the end they redeemed themselves. Would I come back? Yes. But I would ask to be seated outside. And I would make sure to use the bathroom before coming here.

Met a friend for dinner at The Warehouse this evening and sat in the bar area. The bartender served us and the service was good: 3.5 stars. I ordered the Chicken Trio and it was passable in terms of taste, quantity, and price: 2.5 stars. But, what truly made this a subpar experience was the musical act. A FULL 15-20 MINUTES of the "performance" consisted of two white guys wearing Asian hats and telling racist jokes in sing-songy Chinese accents. Finally, I'd had enough and told them to knock it off. The response: "comics do it all the time." REALLY? Comics single out a specific race for 15-20 minutes of abuse complete with props and "ching-chong"-speak? I've been to plenty of comedy shows and haven't experienced anything remotely like it. At least at a comedy club, you might expect some race humor, but is that something you sign up for when you're trying to enjoy a meal at The Warehouse? Another beaut: one of the musicians pointed to an African-American patron and said, "I've been telling black jokes and that guy doesn't mind." The patron retorted: "Actually, I do mind," and thanked me for speaking up. I asked to speak to a manager and received apologies from both her and from the musician who was doing most of the talking. I was comped a drink- I appreciated the conciliatory gesture. And, I think the musician is more anachronism than virulently-racist. To the management, I'd say: This is the 21st century, not the 1950s. Employing acts where the mainstay is racist jokes is unacceptable anywhere, but particularly at a restaurant. Regrettably, the good service and OK food were greatly overshadowed by the lack of judgment of management in providing this form of "entertainment." I'd be interested in hearing from management whether this will be tolerated in the future. If so, I can only admonish potential customers to steer clear of The Warehouse.

A great time at this place until the salsa dancer kicks you out. We were hanging at the bar, had a huge tab of 8 people. When we join the salsa dancing which takes over the restaurant. After being interactive and joining, the instructor announces, "this class is not free". Way to be cheap and embarrass us. Mai tai was cheap and way too sweet. Would have been reasonable is service was accommodating but being insulted for buying drinks and food here is a joke. Atmosphere is entertaining. Come here to be cheaply amused then commercially disrespected, if not with salsa lessons then I'm sure they'll have some cheap and sleezy event to make you feel like marina del rey overcame Compton.

We were there a party of (4) for father's day for Sunday brunch, the place was packed and even with reservation waited almost an hour (no good). The host was kind of rude because he sits who ever he wants outside and gives the round around for those nice tables. We order some drinks, the buffet was ok. But they don't have to much selection of food. The place is beautiful inside and outside. Expensive, the waiters and service was very good. I will recommend this place but most like I don't go there any more.

"Oh where, oh where......has customer service and the stellar reputation initially personified by The Warehouse gone....?" Located on Admiralty just off of the harbor in MDR, sits this former gem of a place previously known for not only its location but it's jazz, salsa and reggae venue let alone its amazing "Happy Hour" and weekend brunch. Well..... A friend of mine plays bass for a few reputable jazz and R&B artist(s). Years ago, I drove out to Marina to watch him perform and I can definitely credit him for introducing me to The Warehouse then. The waterfront ambiance, koi ponds and wooden planked entrance alongside dimly lit lighting were by far enough to make a fan out of me and the addition of stellar drinks or even a mere glass of wine were enough to take it over the top. - - - - - - - Flash forward a few years and, "ain't it depressing when a place traverses downhill faster than a spiraling terd? While I've noticed none of the establishment's reviews to be recent, as I see it, that speaks decibels in terms of their commitment to performance (or in this case,...lack thereof). Service here has mushroomed to be lackluster at best and with the mediocre food being served as well as the diluted drinks, offered at premium prices, I can't fathom anyone being any bit inclined to frequent this place simply for its location. The decor is Dolly Parton dated (and I like Dolly) and let us not digress on the "B" letter grade previously provided by the Department of Health .....that was tactically hidden behind said decor. My sentiments state that if this place was that inept to hide their letter grade for personal hygiene, temp control and compliance in food handling..........., it kinda' raises an eyebrow to just what else they're attempting to cover up. Where is Olivia Pope when you need her?!? #scandal Bringing this review to a close, allow us to reflect on what happened to "The Wherehouse"; the former music retailer, a number of years back....... ---- THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY --- and were FORCED to close!!!!!! It's pretty palpable that this is what tends to happen when the market changes and businesses would much rather stand still all the while questioning things and blaming others for their problems, rather than "get their act(s) together" and conform. My advice to "The Warehouse" in Marina Del Rey is simple. "Shape up, or prepare to ship out!"

It's a shame for me to rate the Warehouse at a 2.5 because I was brought here by family members who absolutely love the place; they spoke about coming here at least once a month and they enjoy the beautiful scenery, the food, and the overall atmosphere. Unfortunately for me, whilst I did enjoy the meal there were several aspects of it that I found to be annoying and that I could not overlook when compiling my review. First and foremost the valet service. Considering the parking lot is not at all large (our car was maybe 50 feet from the walkway to the entrance) I found it annoying that my family members had to pay $3.75 to park there car. My aunt was driving, and she was a bit worried because we were late for our reservation so she ended up pulling into the first space she saw herself (she's also like 70something, so cut her some slack). So yes, quite literally $3.75 to park our own car. Futhermore, it's not like the valet even took the keys from her and then brought us the car when we were ready to leave. We had to walk back over to it. Also, to me, first impressions are a big thing. I did really like the outer design of the Warehouse - it's extremely nautical with a large water feature that includes turtles and very large fish, it was very pretty to look at (although the water did look a bit dingy) however when we entered there was no host(ess). The inside was empty (and as I later learned that's because the outer patio has an amazing view and everyone was out there) and we were left to wander around for a few minutes trying to find someone to seat us. Several members of the staff saw this and made no attempt to help or direct us back to the front where someone would come and greet us. This was really disappointing! When we were finally seated we were allowed to chose our seats outside which had a lovely view of the boats in the Marina. This view was my favorite part of the whole establishment. It was wonderful, relaxing, and peaceful. I really enjoyed it. We were given 3 menus (one each) however only 1 had the Dine LA special paper in it. This advertised a lunch special ($15) of clam chowder, calamari, or ceasar salad and fish and chips (halibut instead of the normal cod) or another fish dish. We all chose this special which was a very nice portion and very good. The calamari was also delicious and I really enjoyed it. Overall everyone was very pleased with their meal. Service seemed rushed and not as attentive as it should have been for the overall bill (approximately $70).

Typical high price tourist attraction. The food is good, but not for the price. Entrees range $20-30 and that doesn't include the a la carte items. The restaurant itself is attractive, but again, touristy. In my opinion, there are many other restaurants in LA that are far superior in price and taste.

I come here for salsa dancing but I decided to try the restaurant and its simply exquisite ! I would have loved to sit outside but tables are simply too close together and I like some degree of privacy in my conversation. Don't order the sautéed spinach- its simply boiled and depressing. The mac and gouda cheese is a delight as a side dish.

I have been going to the Warehouse ever since I moved to Marina del Rey 7 years ago all because I had seen it featured in the Yacht Rock Youtube videos. Keep the fire! It was pretty fanciful back then. The chicken with Brie delicious, the decor straight out of Dolly Parton's kitchen meets a Tiki Hut. However, it is with great sadness that I say I will not be going back to the Warehouse. My mom was visiting from out of town last week and I thought cool, Warehouse. We will get our picture taken, think about Dolly, drink some drinks, fun will be had. But oh no this is how it went down. * We were seated where we waited for 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge our presence. This was only after my friend went and got someone. *Our waiter seemed put out to wait on us. He then took another 15 minutes to take our order all the while we held our giant clunky menus. So now 30 minutes, no drinks, no food, no order placed. * Finally we ordered and the food came and it was just okay. Nothing memorable. So we paid a lot of money to not get waited on and then eat mediocre food. Maybe the Warehouse needs Kenny Loggins or Menssia to fire up a song and get them revamped.... Take a highway to the Danger Zone, take a ride into the Danger Zoooonnee.. Final Verdict. Skip the Warehouse. There are better places in the Marina.

Good seafood place with nice outdoor seating and heat lamps for when you need them. We all had something different and it was all good. And frankly, you just can't beat a seafood restaurant with a view of the marina right there on the water. The place has been here forever because of the location and food. Frankly, I expected awful service after the reviews but our waitress was nice, efficient, and even put up with our drunken requests for her to be a photographer. I guess it depends on the day...

The food here was absolutely AMAZING! My aunt brought us here for dinner and we loved it. They changed their menu around a little so we had to ask for things and the waitress had to keep asking the kitchen or someone if she could or couldn't do something we wanted. I highly reccomend this place. It's a little expensive but totally worth it if you want a great meal.

I don't come to Marina Del Rey often but when I do I make sure I stop by at The Warehouse wether it is for brunch or dinner. The setting inside and outside of the restaurant is so beautiful. I've never been disappointed with the service here, very helpful and kind. The food is even better. They provide a variety of options to choose from from seafood to steaks & chops to pasta to salads and soups. My personal favorite - the chicken piccata! You won't be disappointed.

My family decided to come to the Warehouse again this year for Thanksgiving. It was the easy alternative to cooking a whole turkey dinner and then having to clean up the mess. We get there and we get seated on the patio where we have a gorgeous view of the Marina. It's the perfect atmosphere, except our family wanted to sit together on one long table instead of a few round tables for comfort. The manager Derek was very accommodating and even though the restaurant was booked for Thanksgiving, he found us a great table upstairs that was just what we were looking for (and also by a window so we could have the same beautiful view.) The buffet this year was beautiful. So many choices of meats and sides, seafood and a great array of desserts. Everything was so tasty! The food was great but the real highlight of the night was our amazing server, Jeff. He went above and beyond what was expected of him. I never had to ask for a refill on my drink... he was always a step ahead of me! He cleared plates as quickly as we could finish with them and he really rocked the whole night. He was friendly and really made my Thanksgiving quite enjoyable. If you ever get the chance to eat here, try and sit in Jeff's section! All in all it was a great experience. I look forward to returning.

I very rarely give poor Yelp reviews, but I felt as though this time I should make an exception, and a speedy one at that. I came to this restaurant expecting the best for a family dinner. We had a 7PM RESERVATION, and when we arrived, we were told we would be seated outside "in a moment." It was WELL OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF AND WE HAD NOT YET BEEN SEATED. The hosts also seemed to be making no effort to expedite the process. We were told we were NUMBER ONE on the list for an outdoor table, so when one fitting our group opened up, we were sure it would be ours, but they PRIORITIZED A GROUP WHO ACCORDING TO THE MANAGER HAD "BRIBED" THE HOST, PRESTON, a despicable action we witnessed. My group and I had invested far too much time to get a table for us to just leave, so we decided to wait it out. It is unfortunate that they placed us in this situation. If you want good service, this is definitely not the place to go. After ruining our night, I overheard the host, PRESTON, and the manager trash talking my group before we were seated, INSIDE I might add. WORST SERVICE OF ANY MDR RESTAURANT. They begrudgingly ended up comping our first round of drinks and desert, and our server was apologetic, but this sadly did not make up for this restaurant's disgraceful practices. If a manager does not fire a host, PRESTON, for confirming accepting a bribe we witnessed, no one is getting fired at this place. It is a mystery what other sorts of people are still employed at this establishment. Subsequent to writing the post, I was also blatantly contacted on Yelp by a sibling of a new restaurant employee, who I may add did not identify as such, basically asking me to change my review to a favorable one. It is a disgrace that even after ruining my family's night, this restaurant is not willing to pay for it in any way, however small the effect of this post will be.

This place has one of the best views of the Marina Del Ray harbor. The location is spectacular. I am a big fan of architecture and the amount of detail in architecture they have outside and inside the restaurant is phenomenal. They have a very cool wooden ship dock you walk on to enter the restaurant that is above the water filled with fish and a shipwreck. Inside the same theme follows. The staff is very friendly and I have even met the owners of the restaurant before and they are one of the friendliest people I have ever met. I have been here for dinner a few times and today was my first time here for brunch and it was just as good! I really recommend this restaurant to anyone and I have told a few of my friends about it who live in the Marina Del Ray or Santa Monica area and they have all been very happy with the service and the food.

I reserved a table for Father's day, but nowhere on Restaurant's website it said "Buffet". When I called the restaurant to ask if they serve omelette, they should have announced that it's going to be a buffet. Overpriced too! Food was not worth $40 / person. When we asked to open the umbrella the waiter told us "no" because the table behind us wanted to be in the sun (even though the couple was sitting in the shadow). We asked to be seated somewhere in the shadow; never happened. We also never got our water refilled and it was a hot day. Overall, me and my family are very disappointed in the restaurant. Service was bad. Food was sub par. I doubt we will be coming to the "Warehouse" any time soon.

Host was a little pushy but we were sat pretty quickly on a Saturday night. I had one of their salads with figs, pecans and mixed greens. Was very good. Waiter, not very attentive but other than that it was ok. Very large place. Someone was having a private party on their 2nd floor and I overheard one of the guests complaining to management that the service wasn't great. My bf had prime rib and said it wasn't that good. Probably won't return.

Ambiance was fun, great view of the marina, food was okay. My main complaint is that they did not give our credit card back after the meal so my father thought he must have put it in one of his pockets already because the credit card was not in the receipt folder with the check when the waiter brought it back to us. When we got home a while later, he realized his credit card was missing. After over 10 minutes on hold with the restaurant they finally confirmed that they had the credit card. I had to drive an hour back to get it. I asked if they might be able to provide a coupon for a discount or a free appetizer for our next visit due to my hour long drive back to pick up the card. They apologized but said no. When I spoke with the manager asking for just something simple for my trouble she said she had to speak with the server who had left, insinuating that I might be lying. She told me to leave my info and said she would come back to get from me, then left and didn't come back to the front. After waiting for 5 minutes being left at the front counter I finally left. I don't ask for much but felt their response to the situation was handled poorly and NOT how you should treat a customer that just spent a lot of money at a family brunch. We will not be going back here.

It was time to head to the airport and we did a random stop at Warehouse. The decor is very unique and I am sure it is quite the happening place at night. We really wanted breakfast and luckily they offer Eggs Benedict on their lunch menu. The eggs where cooked exactly as I requested (finally). The mimosa was also very good. We had friendly service and left very satisfied.

Went out on our anniversary to hear a friend perform Jazz. The music was great. The food was horrific. The pizza was dry, the toppings were sparse. The "seafood sampler platter" was over cooked rubbery scallops and other seafood drowning in a sauce that tasted essentially like brown gravy. Yuck!

Overall: Good place to go once and enjoy the scenery and food. Pros: Steaks and seafood are great, portions are huge, drinks are good, and sitting outside on the patio looking at the boats is a really nice environment. Prime rib is good, short rib was tasty (but really fatty), macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi was good. Cons: Always seem to get really awful service, either a really new waitress that doesn't know the menu or what ingredients are in each dish. Valet is atrociously backed up during dinner hours, it takes 15 minutes to get into the parking lot, and you have to pay for that. Reservations are a must, yet you show up on time and still have to wait. And it is really pricey, so if you get a bad waiter, bad valet service, and have to wait, you question the value. Avoid the calamari, it is chewy and rubbery. Also avoid the shrimp scampi, it tastes very fishy and ruins it, and the shrimp weren't deveined. Avoid the sautéed spinach side, it came out cold and was beyond mushy with no texture. Most memorable moment: I got a completely raw big and hard chunk of a burned potato (at least I hope it was a potato) in my mashed potatoes, which are usually really good. The waitress asked me if I wanted a new order, I said yes, then she tried to take my whole plate away while others ate, so I said no, thinking she would bring me a new order, and she just moved on with her life.

Visited on a Saturday night and felt exclusive being in the place where the likes of Sally Fields, Kurt Russell and other luminaries dined (a decade or two) before me. If there is anything to give The Warehouse credit for, it's longevity. Seating: I recommend sitting on the patio, or at a window table. We were seated at a table on the back patio, and enjoyed a view of the water, the soft sounds of the waves, seabirds and occasional yacht. Though "fall" is coming, the heat lamps prevented any discomfort. Entertainment: bachata lessons which start at 8 or 8:15 in the stage by the bar area. If I lived locally, I would come out for dancing here on a Saturday. Food: Not that The Warehouse is all atmosphere; it also serves food. The food was good but not amazeballs status, and was served by a friendly serving staff. And here I go again, ordering something that might or might not make sense: I ordered chicken in a restaurant on the sea. Or maybe that does make sense...after all, you don't want to wonder if your fish came out if the Marina...kidding, kidding. My dining companion ate halibut from the Atlantic. The chicken I ordered was the "Brie chicken" and perhaps a little salty due to the cheese, but that's fine by me because I love Brie. The side of sautéed spinach was also a little salty (salt source unknown, however I think the spinach was fresh, not canned). I have to admit that the menu seemed suspiciously large (I'm more of a "do one thing and do it well" school of thought about restaurant menus) but that's neither here nor there. On a side note, The Warehouse also comes with vendors. I'm not a fan of being asked to buy things while I eat, but my dining companion was, so again, it's all about personal preference. These young entrepreneurs will offer to a) sell you a photo of yourselves, and b) sell you a rose.

The atmosphere here is a 10/10! It's so beautiful with something to look at wherever you are sat. There is a great selection of food and it can be romantic, business or family oriented. Very versatile. Our server was Chris. He was a pretty ok waiter... Could've checked up a little more and filled our glasses more consistently, but great attitude and had some light conversation. We were here for a birthday and he gave a complimentary dessert for the birthday boy. The food here isn't immaculate, but it's good. I come for the atmosphere and a decent piece of fish. My mom always orders the clams and she thinks they're great. I recommend the Atlantic salmon it is the most popular and Delish. I love the ocean so the patio is my place to be at sunset!

This is a revised review... The owner Marti reach out to me after my first experience was less than stellar. She was concerned that I did not get a proper representation of The Warehouse. So, Marti extended an invitation for a dinner for two. I took her up on her offer this evening. So this evening, I had the NY Strip which was cook perfectly, the way I like it right now, medium (I wasn't feel vampirish tonight). My hubby had the Salmon stuffed with Crab with he said was very nice! Thank you Marti, Dinner service was great and your GM is charming! Cheer!!!! Robin

This place can be pretty pricey but they do have an awesome happy hour on drinks and food. They have a lot of really good draft beers that are cheap during happy hour. My favorites being Kona Longboard and Lagunitas IPA. I love the inside of the place and the view of the marina is beautiful. We sat at the bar and enjoyed drinks on a random weekday night and have a good time. It is annoying that they make you pay for valet since there is literally no where else you can park in the area. Other than that, I think this place would be perfect for a romantic night out with your significant other. Their specialty is seafood and it is gooood. They have outdoor patio seating where you can enjoy the view. Our bartender was really great and was frequently checking on us. The price is not cheap so I recommend only going at happy hour. Fun spot!

First I would like to say, the hostess or manager over booked. I had reservations for 7. When I arrived at 6:55, I was informed that a bigger party took my spot. So I had to wait to be seated in a whole different area, then where I requested. Which happen to be next to a crying baby. So was a little frustrated But after a drink I mellowed out. So things began to get better. My server was Great. She was very attentive and helpful with the menu. So many good options. The clam chowder is on point. One of the best I've had in a long time. I had the Canadian Atlantic salmon for my main dish. It was D-Lish. For desert I had the Cookie Monster. It was just "ok" So in closing, The Wharehouse is a good seafood restaurant. Not Great, just Good.

Came here for lunch with my family, really enjoyed the place. The location is absolutely beautiful, right on the marina, with the entrance to the yacht club. The restaurant itself has a "kitschy" decor of a sailing boat/pirate ship. The food and the service was great, we shared the grouper lunch special and the ahi tuna salad. I would definitely come back here again.

The service was so bad we didn't stay to try the mediocre food everyone mentions. Got there at 8:30 for dinner with my wife on a Saturday. A little wait is to be expected so when we asked to be seated inside, the hostess said the wait would be about 5 minutes. 5 minutes later they tried to sit us outside so we reminded them we wanted to sit inside. They then told us the wait would be a little longer until a table inside becomes available. After waiting 30 minutes, they sat a couple who arrived after us, at a table inside. When I asked why they were seated ahead of us, the hosts said they weren't sure who was first...seriously? Try checking your check-in list or ASK! We left after wasting 40+ mins. Will never go back.

Service was very slow. Ordered appetizers and drinks and it took so long that i yelped and decided to have dinner somewhere else. There was a band warning up that looked like they would be fun but wasn't starting until 9. Decor reminded me more of Florida than Cali.

Yuk! yuk!Yuk! Zero stars. Ordered king crab legs and for $55 they should have been edible! They were not. They were old and the crab meat flaked into little pieces. The oyster Rockefeller were even worse. Don't go here it is not worth the money!

Had a brunch here on Sunday with my girls and it was our first time coming here. I chose this place because of the choice of foods they were going to serve and for the views of course. The food is just OK. The shrimp...aww man the shrimp was horrible!! Probably because it's left out the entire time for brunch. It was squishy, falling apart and just...ugh! I love shrimp too so I was very disappointed. As far as the champagne, they really do fill it up to the rim with little orange juice so we definitely loved that lol. The scenery was great, and the free pic must have gotten smaller from the pics that I seen on yelp. It was literally a pic of the scenery and food with a small 2x2 pic of us at the top right lmao. Ended up buying a pic but all in all, GREAT VIEWS, food is just ALRIGHT.

Great service and great food. Love the drinks. Relaxing atmosphere. Love this place. Beef is tender, chicken is juicy, and the fish is so fresh. It is a little expensive but very worth it. I recommend this place. But in my opinion I don't think it's kid friendly.

I had a 1pm reservation, it is now 130pm and we are still waiting on a table... What's the point of having a reservation?? The best part when I ask the guy host how long it's going to be he gave me an attitude and said "how ever long it takes". Rude!!

The WORSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SERVICE I had ever. Had ... A server didn't come to our table until 20 min after we sat down ...never refilled our I goal drinks . The food took an hour to come out and it took another 10 min to receive silver ware to eat . After that when my friend arrived she had to ask the server to come take a order of drinks not only for her food but the whole table .. That took another 20 min . We switched servers 3x according to nico ( server 1) who ended up jst serving us the rest of the night . However when my friend walked over to him to ask for service he told her he wasn't working downstairs I guess he did know that she was with the table he failed to give good service to in the first place which was ( downstairs) ... Anyways they comped our drinks ... Wow 30 dollars off of a 200 dollar bill . Anyway the manager yelled at me because I said it would be unethical to pay this much when the whole dining experience all we could talk about how BAD the service was and how we're dying of thirst .... He told me he was calling the police ., because we felt discriminated towards . I guess I we jst couldn't figure out why the tables on the left and right were being served but we weren't . We had to ask to order drinks , ask to order food , ask for silver ware , ask for refills , ask for menus , by the guy nico who was only "serving upstairs". Anyways everything had a 20 min arrival time in between besides the food that took an hour .... No to mention the ACTUAL MANAGER threatened to call the POLICE on us for feeling discriminated towards . LOL !!! Cherry on TOP .... Save ur self gas , time , a head ache and NEVER EAT HERE ..... Side note : I don't know how diligently you guys read your reviews but honestly I would never come here jst to chew gum . I don't remember the manager that threatened me but I came on SATURDAY around 8pm on SEPTEMBER 5 2015 . Soooooo who ever that manager is fire him ... He yelled at me In front of the whole restaurant for giving him critiques and on top of that he clearly wouldn't be able to manage a lemonade stand to be honest . Oh and he calls the police on costumers if you state your opinion based on FACTS no one took responsibility ever one blamed the next person. The most unethical experience I had ever encountered . The worrrseeeee place ever this place needs to sink in the MARINA ASAP .... I wish I could put NO STARS

Getting here and finding out they closed to transition from breakfast to lunch was a little strange. Most places do it without having to close. Fortunately the bar was open so that was a plus so I could drink while I waited. I ordered the steak and mashed potatoes which actually wasn't bad at all. I ate it all. My drink, served in a tiki cup, which I forget the name of was very good also. The place sits right on the water which gives you a cool scene to be in. Parking can be sketchy but next door had free parking so it was cool. I'd come back.

I came here with a group of 20 to celebrate surviving tax season. We came here around 1pm so it was not crowded at all. For a large group the waiter was on it and we never felt neglected. Kitschy is one way to describe the décor. It works for some people but is a bit much for me so being seated on the patio was a plus. The skinny margarita was done right. The Mahi fish tacos were breaded and cooked properly and never got mushy. However, there was something missing flavor wise. Others enjoyed the chicken quesadilla and lump crab cakes. The diablo pasta had a kick and was on the better side. To my surprise the skirt steak salad had good flavor. Overall it was a good experience and the food is alright. I would say the patio alone gets a couple of stars. I would like to try this place again for brunch, on the patio of course.

I'm unexpectedly a fan of The Warehouse. It's so kitschy and cute on the inside that I worried that the food wouldn't be that great... it is. Both times I ordered the fish special. The first time it was sold out so I ordered the tilapia instead. So good. Last weekend I had the mahi with a lemon artichoke sauce. It was fantastic. Fresh and flavorful. The service is outstanding and the views are beautiful. The rest of the family thoroughly enjoyed their food as well. Will be back!

It's a little old looking and the decor could be updated, but the food was pretty good. We sat outside and had a great view of the marina. Our waiter had great recommendations for a wine based on getting to know us and he was spot on. I'm not a big wine drinker but he really did a great job. All in all, it was a pretty good experience. I would only recommend sitting outside as the inside decor leaves something to be desired.

Cheap appetizers at happy hour. Drinks r ok. Don't order a well dirty martini. Dont get the happy hr nachos- it's just cheese atop the same chips as the artichoke dip. Happy hr wings taste recently frozen. Don't come too early. Only one employee working to start shift. Park confidently & the valet won't waste your time asking to park for u. But a gorgeous view!!! Use the free "happy hours" app in iPhone for nearby alternatives.

Had dinner here tonight with my family for my Grandmothers birthday. Food was excellent (I had the chicken Marsala) the menu has definitely changed since I was younger, or maybe my appetite has. I haven't been here in years! But enjoyed my experience here yet again. Jeff was our server , and he was very nice & attentive. Always made sure we were doing okay which was nice. Thank you Jeff & the entire Warehouse staff. It was great.

So my rating is based on the Sunday brunch. I went today with my brother and boyfriend. Mandatory valet @ $3.75. The restaurant itself is cool. Its got that Hawaiian/tiki/beach theme, its pretty dark inside too. We got to sit outside overlooking the marina, the weather was beautiful and the service was good. Its a buffet so I guess service was a moot point. The hostess was a young girl that didn't smile and seemed like your typical airhead teenager. The breakfast side of the buffet was better than the lunch side. Omelette station with a bunch of choices to fill it. Eggs benedict , sausage, bacon, 2 kinds of potatoes, waffle and pancake buffet. Overall tasty and fresh. The lunch side was meh. The salad bar had several salad options. Cobb, Cesar, Greek, crab, Asian, fruit. There was a carving station with ham, roast beef and chicken. Those were actually pretty good. But everything in the heated chafing dishes was gross. Dry, over heated and soggy. The crab legs, shrimp, "sushi" and veggies were on a high almost shelf like area and they weren't on ice! There were pieces of raw fish in the sushi and it was room temperature! Again, gross. There was clam chowder and chicken noodle soup that just seemed like some "out of the bag" cheap stuff that they just heated up. Overall I was not impressed. And for $35.99 per person it was not worth it. Even with bottomless mimosas it wasn't worth it because of the poor quality of the food. Maybe their regular menu is better but the buffet sucked. 2 stars for the view. Edit: Forgot to add that my fork had something stuck to it as soon as I unrolled my napkin. Awesome way to start.

Came here for dinner because of dine LA and it had a pretty good three course meal for $30. I got the clam chowder, prime rib, and Cookie Monster. Overall great meal for the price. The restaurant was really cute and had a pirates of the Caribbean vibe to it. Not super fancy, but outside seating is quite romantic!

Nice view, cool bartender. The inside of the place.... the name fits. It's pretty casual and laid back, like a warehouse. Super chill place to come and have drinks and relax and enjoy being near the water. Is there something I would say stood out that I have to rave about? Not really. But I would certainly choose to come and hang out here to just kick back and relax with friends. Parking was easy - valet only. But at only $3.75, that's pretty reasonable for LA standards.

The food here is amazing! Every single item on them menu is off the hook. I usually get some type of steak and I am never disappointed. It's a bit on the pricier side (about 40 a person not including alcohol). The scenery is very dark but it's a great. This location is great for couples and groups. I gave it a 4 star because service is mediocre. Other than that, the food is amazing.

Came here for the dineLA experience. In the front was a pirates of the Caribbean like lagoon. From outside looking in the restaurant did not seem that packed. This and a few other places were still taking reservations day of. Decided to go with the warehouse because the menu looked like I'd get the most bang for my buck. Took the host bout 10 mins to get us seated. We requested to sit outside. Do request to sit out there it is quite romantic. While waiting I viewed their "famous people that have dined here" wall. Only people I knew were NSYNC and Pierce Brosnan (007). Now on to the meal itself. First came the bread basket. Not that much variety(only white) but not the main focal point of the meal. Try the green sauce they bring out with the butter. It is not half bad. For the first course of the meal I ordered the clam chowder. It was good. Not bad but not amazing. Just plain old clam chowder. Second course came the prime rib. I was very impressed. Not expecting much the prime rib was mouthwatering. Definitely not as good as lawrys but for the price of the dinner it is unmatched. For dessert I ordered the lava cake. The dessert menu was a key factor in deciding to try this place out. My lovely date ordered the pazookie typed desert. Both were very delicious. Both comes with vanilla ice cream on top. There is also a lady that walks around during the meal that takes a complimentary photo. Although this is a good idea maybe they should try hiring someone that actually knows how to use a camera. The picture DID NOT come out so good. cmon I know I'm not THAT ugly. Whatever got a free picture. Lastly if you're coming to eat here make sure to have $3.75 for the valet. This is probably the only thing that bugged me. Don't understand why they couldn't round it off. Pretty expensive for Valet in an otherwise empty parking lot. Had to get change and the valet gave me unwanted pennies and nickels because he didn't have a quarter. In the end I had a wonderful experience. Don't let the disneyland vibe this place gives off fool you. Had a very romantic dinner with my significant other for only $30 bucks a person. The warehouse exceeded my expectations.

I was the lucky recipient of a couple Sunday morning brunch gift certificates for The Warehouse.... I had never been there before and hit it up last weekend. It was a fantastic experience! Our waiter, Martin (I believe his name was), got pretty busy as the brunch crowd picked up, but he continued to do a great job of continually making sure we were happy. The layout of the restaurant was a little odd, with half the buffet being presented inside at one end of the building and the rest at the other end. Regardless, the food was pretty good, and the view of the marina was awesome! The buffet is pricy, but if you choose to check this place out, be sure to get there early so you can get a table with a nice view out on the deck. Enjoy!

This place is crap. Where do I start? It's their 45th anniversary this year, so they have a special menu where you get an appetizer, entree, and side for $19.69. I don't think this price was really that good of a deal. It certainly wasn't a special and I'll explain why. We weren't allowed to do ANY substitutions or modifications. Want two pieces of chicken instead of chicken+steak? Nope. Want to have a different type of dressing on your salad? NOPE. Want to change your side of potato to steamed veggies? NOPE FORGET ABOUT IT AND GO TO HELL ALREADY! This last bit was particularly puzzling, because the menu said that every option came with your choice of sides. However, most of the entrees were already listed with sides. Yet you couldn't change them? Weird. Moreover: other entrees like the pasta did not come with sides at all. So I get my appetizer: "crispy calamari" is what it is called on the menu. Damn, one bite and I wondered if I had ordered fried rubber bands by mistake. They were not crispy at all. I'll admit that the perfect crunch can be elusive, but I wasn't aiming for perfection, just some level of basic competency. One person ordered an entree salad that said it included chicken and shrimp. What it didn't say was this was chicken and shrimp SALAD. You know: the type that comes in scoops, pre-chewed and with lots of mayo. She sent it back, but didn't receive a replacement until the rest of us were finished. I had been ready to go speak with management but he came back just before I was about to get up. Waiter attention was poor in other areas as well. Let's wrap up with an exploration of the ambiance: The decor is cool and kitschy but didn't compensate for all the other shortcomings. The band (Funkalicious) spent 20 minutes warming up, 30 minutes playing, and then took the rest of the night off. They left their merch girl out from though, with a table full of branded items. Kinda ridiculous, but it fit in with the Warehouse philosophy: "Merchandising, merchandising, merchandising!" (they musta watched a lot of Spaceballs growing up). Someone came around with a camera and took a complimentary photo of our table (that was crap, of course) and of course wanted to convince us to take additional photos of each couple (that they could charge you for). To complete the merchandising trifecta, we were also accosted by a rose seller. To top it all off, the bill included a MANDATORY gratuity (15%). That's a little unusual for a party of 6. I think it was because they knew that if it was up to the patrons, there would never be any tips!

Ok so, let me start out saying that I've been to this place a few times in the past and had a wonderful time. However on Saturday Sept 5,2015 I went out to support my favorite local band perform,Thee Legendary Mr.Greg Rose and his great band. Greg and his band will always show up and show out and they didn't fail that night. The entertainment was truly OFF THE CHAIN!! but as for the service OMG!! it was a big disappointment to say the least, granted it was packed, and the service obviously NOT prepared for the turn-out ( I get that) however, that does not excuse being ignored. I think if it wasn't for us flagging down the waiters we would've been sitting all night with no service. We finally located our waiter and still had to ask for condiments, silverware, & water. Thinking that was the worst NOOOT!!! the short stack, dark haired prick behind the bar had such a stank attitude, we asked "are you our waiter?" when and his wind flew by us he turned and grunted "no" and kept walking, I mean this dude did NOT break a stride passing.. So unnecessary, I was sitting with 3 other women who are in customer service, and wow! they were NOT pleased!.. anyway, the wild-hair bleached blond lady ( maybe the manager, not sure) was very nice and gave us a round of drinks on the house. (this is after my friend had a conversation with her)..(customer service training is DEFINITELY needed here. ( in spite of the crowd - there are ways of handling situations professionally.

This place is everything I expected. A bit over priced but overall I had a great experience. We came in and were greeted instantly. We asked to sit outside. Once there, the staff turned on the heaters for us. I ordered the swordfish (recommended by our server Leanne) my friend ordered the filet. Both were delicious. The only complaint is the bathroom. Very messy and had a weird smell. Other than that service was great, she greeted us with great excitement. She had a great attitude and made us all laugh and feel comfortable. Will definitely be coming back.

Literally the worst restaurant/experience/unprofessional/ food in my 20 years in LA. 1st of all I'm sorry...I'm laughing at myself while writing this because I can't believe this is me.... I don't like bad reviews and always think people that write them have an agenda or are just unhappy people, but in this case I feel called to justice and also hoping the restaurant owner reads this and that it can prevent people from getting sick eating here. I picked this place for Fathers day brunch because I thought it would be fun, especially as I'm days away from becoming a dad (my wife is 40 weeks pregnant) and we live in Playa. We made 12:30 reservations, when we got there everyone was unhappy and the restaurant had completely overbooked... we didn't get a table for nearly an hour, luckily my wife is amazing and didn't complain once. They finally gave us a horrible table in the back and on the 2nd floor (really?.. My wife is literally about to have a baby ) and gave us the excuse that the tables near the windows were reserved for bigger parties BUT all the tables next to them had parties with the exact same number of people (5)... and 3 of them were empty just waiting to be cleared.... The staff was extremely unprofessional but I have a feeling they were all just super super stressed. The host who I'm sure was just feeling bad was totally awkward, and tried to start small conversation and managed to insult my family in the process (He mistook me and my sister and my wife and best friend for being a couple, and then when I made a joke that must have assumed based on color, he replied that he picked who would be the best looking together...wow) Keep in mind this was an hour into waiting for a reservation we had made the night before. Once we got to the table, (they found us a much better one on the 1st floor) after waiting ANOTHER 10 minutes, we started looking around at the food. We wanted to leave but had already been waiting an hour so we decided to make the most of it and just be together. Heres what went down. -the omelette station is bar height and the way they have it set up I witnessed peoples elbows and clothes literally touching the open options (onions, ham, cheese etc) -There was no place to put the handles for ANY of the food so one by one I watched as people would serve themselves and place the handles back INTO THE FOOD. You would have to dig the tongs out of the food to serve yourself. There was no protection for any of the food so all of the bacon and sausages were sitting wide open as people walked by and clothes would brush against it. There was no sneeze guard so as people talked and laughed, you name it, and it could fly into the food. The tongs were laying directly on the pile of meat, eggs, etc so after people used them they would put them back DIRECTLY on the food! The kids were food level height height wise... so the only thing I got from there was cold... turkey sausage. - The hot lunch buffet portion had the same issue. The food was set up so high and no place to put the tongs, so i had to dig them out of the food and put them away so people didn't reuse them. It was disgusting...I felt like a safety inspector... I just didn't want people to get sick. -They were clearly understaffed and a quarter of the restaraunt had tables with food waiting to be cleared off with 100 people outside and downstairs waiting to eat on their special day. -NO one was professional, they were nice but so overwhelmed. Finally I walked the assistant manager through the shit show and pointed out the 20 or so health code violations (and apologized while I was doing it) but someone had to say something. She was nice and clearly overwhelmed...she said she would tell her owner and the kitchen staff. -Our family tried to make the best of it and let it go but when we got the bill came and we were charged 39 person I couldn't let it go. We each had one plate and tried to not imagine all the crap that must be on the food while we ate :) I took the bill to the nice assistant manager and gave her the option to take off whatever she felt was fare... she took half off and we tipped based on the original amount. So we still ended paying $150 for 5 people and the worst Fathers Day brunch ever. BUT, our family is healthy, our baby is healthy, and we have food to eat unlike many places int the world. So for that I am grateful... we just know where to never go eat again. I feel better now, this is clearly therapeutic. Avoid this place on any holiday, hopefully the rest of the week its a much better place to eat.

Wonderful Oysters Rockefeller- definitely worth the trip, I will be visiting again with a group of friends. There's live music, the waiters are friendly and fast. My food got to the table sizzling hot- A++. Great atmosphere and outside dining area over looking the marina. Just lovely.

Is there an option for zero stars?! This place has to be a joke! First off it took us an hour to be seated, and that's after changing tables 3 times because no waiters in that section. VERY VERY understaffed for Mothers Day. We had to stare at an un-bused tables left over food for 20 min before they finally cleaned it. Don't bother complaining to the manager about anything because he is by far the most brain dead person in here and that is saying a lot! Worst service I have ever had anywhere. I would comment on the food, but I didn't really get a chance to taste my steak between all the fat and gristle.

Nice place, wonderful ambiance by the water. This may not be the most sophisticated cuisine, and its a bit old fashioned, but the waterfront and the quiet cant be beat. My friend had a seafood trio, $16 for shrimp, mako shark and salmon. I felt like eating vegetarian and had a veggie sampler with mushrooms, asparagus and spinach and rice. Both dishes were very copious. We then shared a huge chocolate gloat with ice cream. The bill was somewhere around $65 very reasonable. We then went inside and listened to some live music, but there is a cover charge for live music. Also a charge for the valet parking ($3.75 I believe) If what you want is not a super hip place, but a great setting by the water, with solid, copious food

Loved my experience! Miguel was the best. Surprised me with a desert for my birthday! Will come back again! Beautiful location and a wonderful atmosphere. Food was excellent! Best spinach noodle dish I've had in a long time.

First time eating at lunch the Warehouse & it was a pleasant experience. The weather was beautiful so we took a patio table, got sunshine & view of the marina :) We ordered a margarita and the take home "barrel" rum 151 :-0 for bevies. Tacos & steak salad for lunch. And both were delicious :) Service was great! We left with a smile, only thing I didn't get was why we had to valet park when the lot was empty? It was only $ 2.50.. But it would have been faster for me to park & walk in :) lol..

I was excited to celebrate my Aunt's 93rd birthday at The Warehouse. It had been several years since I went, but I recalled it had a scenic location and decent food with a diverse menu. I thought it would make for a nice, special occasion venue. I made an online reservation and we arrived on a sunny Sunday. I reviewed the menu on line in advance, and was surprised to learn upon arrival that they only served a buffet on Sunday afternoon for $39/pp. This wasn't promoted on the website and our host didn't tell us this before we sat down. There were no signs advertising this in the lobby either. Our guest of honor, the 93 year old, is not a fan of buffets so I asked our waiter, Omar, if we could order off of a menu. He brought a menu with some bar food items on one side and drinks on the other (the bar food items were face up when he set the menu down on the table). A few minutes later when we went to order off the menu, he said that wasn't an option. WHAT?! We were disappointed that he gave conflicting, unclear information and that we didn't have the advanced notice that it wouldn't be an option before we were seated (in spite of the fact that we made a reservation, we still had to wait in the lobby 15 minutes for our seat on the patio). We ended up leaving and having a very satisfactory meal elsewhere. The best thing about the Warehouse experience was that the valet noticed we were only there for a few minutes and didn't charge us the $3.50 mandatory valet charge to park in their parking lot.

LIED ABOUT THE FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE, I WOULDN'T TAKE LEFT OVERS TO MY DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My friend and I went to the Warehouse for lunch today. It took over 15 minutes to get a waiter to acknowledge us and another 15 or so to place our order. It was another 45 minutes before receiving our food. The lunch special was filet mignon with bacon wrapped, I asked the waiter several times and he said the filet was beef with a turkey bacon wrap. I wanted beef filet mignon and I was already deceived from the start. The waiter told me he was sorry and would order me the beef filet mignon for the same price of the lunch special. My friend had already finished her meal and mine took another 45 minutes. I was starving at 1:30 and now by about 3:20 my meal arrived. I ordered my steak medium to medium rare. When received it didn't look like a filet mignon because of all the fat in it. It wasn't a filet. I was so hungry I ate part of the meal. The fat and gristle was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! When the waiter brought us the check the full price of the steak was on it. We asked to talk with the manager. He told us the waiter doesn't change the price. He told us the filet was filet, and didn't agree to lower the price. We paid and will NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN. The place being EMPTY of customers during lunch hour should have given us a clue. But, we wanted to eat by the water. For those of you who used to like the warehouse it has all changed. You'd be better off eating from a lunch truck.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night. There was little wait for our party of 8 (I'm a poet). The service was polite but extremely flighty. We had a waiter and a buser it seemed that was serving us. Each kept asking if we needed anything and both would forget to bring it. When the buser who I had no clue he was a buser because he looked no different than the waiter in his dress asked to assist me with a drink order and never brought it the waiter told me I am your server so ask me. Then when we asked him to bring parm cheese for spaghetti he never brought it. As for the food, the menu and cooking style is in desperate need of an update. When I sat down and looked at the menu I knew right away this is going to be messy. They added the word bacon to a couple of menu items for appeal but when we received the items there was no bacon to be found. This goes for the Spinach artichoke bacon dip and the clam chowder with bacon. The spaghetti had been boiled beyond recognition. They gave us a s-load portion in the kids serving but when a 2 year old says ain't no way in hell he's eating that s**t you know you've got a problem. The decor and view are amazing though! We sat on the patio and they had the heaters on and it was perfect! Lots of fun ship montage decorations to distract my son with but if the food isn't there I don't care if it comes with a ride the astronomical bill for food that 5 out of the 8 patrons didn't eat is NEVER worth it. Unless chef Choi takes over as head chef we won't be back.

I want a t-shirt that says, "I paid $32 for medium rare filet mignon and all I got was this dry, overcooked piece of Wal-Mart rollback special not-filet-mignon." Seriously, guys. Just because I was your last order of the night doesn't mean you can serve me the re-heated piece of cardboard one of your patrons from 5:30 this evening sent back. I don't think I'll be Grub Hubbing from here again. Ever.

Okay, about two years ago, I came here with some friends. My experience was okay. I ordered a hamburger and fries, which were alright; I didn't eat all of my food because it was king of bland. I remember the service being good and really liking the picture they took of us so much that we bought it, lol! However, yesterday, I came with my sister, and this time, my experience was excellent. I ordered The Marina, which is a warm pasta with tarragon Chardonnay sauce, and it was delicious (fresh, perfectly cooked scallops and shrimp, seasoned with a kick of spice, and the sauce was creamy), and the portion was super huge. I took home a dinner-size portion of pasta. The waiter was on top of everything and nice. Also, the ambiance, to me, is like this 1992 throwback Florida seaside condo decor, BUT the view of the marina makes up for that. What I didn't like was that we had to pay $3.75 to the valet to self-park in their little parking lot, which was ridiculous (I didn't have to do this last time). Also, my dish was $30, so be prepared to shell out cash.

Overall, I enjoyed the service and the food. On a Saturday night, I arrived and parked my car. Still had to give the valet $3.75. The old school music was jammin'. We could have paid $10 each to sit in front near the entertainment, but my date and I elected to sit outside on the patio. The weather was wonderful for late evening. The server was nice, personable, and attentive. Our food was tasty. I had the Seafood Brochette. Delicious seafood on a skewer. It did taste as if it had been cooked too long, but it wasn't too bad. I would return to try something different.

My wife and I have been coming to warehouse for over two years now. We love the front decor and the back deck has a beautiful view of the marina. Over the last year we have seen a very steep decline in the quality of the food and service. Last week we wanted to have some appetizers and drinks on the back deck (which we have done for years) and they told us we had to both order entrees to sit outside. I looked outside and half the tables were empty. I asked if there was a way for us to get an entree and a few appetizers and drinks (which would be over $50 total) and they still wouldn't let us sit at an open table outside. Combine this with decline in food quality and I think we have to say goodbye to our old favorite spot.

I would have preferred to have McDonald's breakfast than their brunch buffet. Such a waste of great location.

The Warehouse is a somewhat shabby nautical-themed restaurant that sits right on the Marina. So it fits in pretty well with the whole rundown New England feel of the Marina that apparently they're getting rid of soon (not soon enough). We've come here after work a couple times for happy hour, which goes until 7. They have several beers on tap for $3.50 a pint, a couple of wines for $4, and some mixed drinks for $6. Not really the best deal for a watered-down margarita, but not bad for the mai tai. There's a page of appetizer specials too, though none are particularly great. At least for happy hour on a Friday, the place is not very crowded. We asked if we could sit outside on the deck that's right on the marina, but were told no, that wasn't for customers who were there for happy hour. Not that there was anyone on the deck. This last time there was a lady who I guess works there who offered to take a picture of us all for free. Of course the gimmick was there was a tiny picture on a postcard of the restaurant for free, and she also came back with a few larger pictures that were $15 each. She passed them around. Several of us being somewhat drunk by that time, one of the pics disappeared. She flipped out and kept demanding it back, then tried to lay a guilt trip that if she didn't get it back, she'd have to pay for it. She ran off crying before we finally found it under the table. So yeah, that was fun. Last but not least, the only parking is valet. No self park at all. Yeah.

I seriously love the kitsch and Disneyland-feel to this place, that it makes me want to celebrate my 10-year anniversary here! Reservations are super important - groups of people crowd the entrance waiting to get in. We were seated upstairs, so we took the really cool old-school elevator to get up there (not necessary, but we just wanted to try it). I love me a brunch buffet, and theirs is pretty good - tons of dishes to choose from, and they are verrry heavy-handed with their mimosa portions! Definitely worth the trek out to MDR!

This place is great. Atmosphere is one of a kind. The food is delicious. We had Kim. She is so cute, friendly and knew her menu well. She took such good care of us on a busy Valentine weekend. I had a great dinner and loved the view of the sail boats. We got seated quick even though it was busy. Thank you Kim for making my dinner enjoyable. The deserts are yummy.

I'm only giving two stars because we had a excellent waiter and none of what happened was his fault . It had to have been a off night in the kitchen but as a paying customer that's not really my concern our food SUCKED in capitals even . First my drink the outside of the glass had pepper on it no big deal things happen second my husbands filet the mashed potatoes had a piece of paper in them the filet itself was cooked horribly . I ordered cioppini and all the shellfish was overcooked rubbery and chalky the calamari wasn't even edible complete rubber all of it was waaaaay over cooked . It looked delicious but was far from it . The only good part of the meal was the oysters but that the kitchen really has no part of . My husband said he used to go here often for me it was my first experience . We are a family with small children at home and rarely make it out I do not seeing us returning ever again and wasting our time and money

Over time this place has gone way down. My 2007 review does not apply as I recently visited and the food quality has gone way down. The o ly reason I give it 2 stars is for the view from the outdoor patio looking at the marina. They hide the health departments B behind a boat decor. Scroll the photos to see, others have posted.

The food is great. Service is ok. Nice private upstairs room for private party. Nice view of outside. Good for special occasions, too. Spinach artichoke dip is excellent. Pizzas are not all that.

Really taken with this restaurant. Tasty food! My favorite was the Sanoma salad with walnuts and dates. Creative food options, beautiful patio, nice live music, friendly staff, and decent prices all add up to a wonderful dining experience by my book.

There were three people at the hostess stand. None of them looked up to greet me. I had to initiate the conversation. The bathroom was disgusting. It smelled and the garbage was overflowing by the sinks and in the stalls. Our waiter was nice and the food was ok. I probably won't come back.

Super unprofessional/unorganized restaurant. From my experience, the word "customer service" is in the bottom here. They shouldn't bother taking reservations at all because it seems like they have no idea how to do it... We had one for 8pm and we came in early at 7:30 too. It was 8:30 and still haven't been seated. The guy at the front just seemed like he was trying to avoid us and just kept giving us some bs excuse so we left.

Time for an update. The quality of the food here has taken a significant nosedive. I've always raved about The Warehouse as my favorite restaurant in LA and I take whoever is visiting from out of town once or twice a year. This weekend, my girlfriend brought me here for my birthday dinner. I had the worst cut of prime rib I've ever had in my life. No exaggeration. The worst. It was stringy and mostly fat. The parts that weren't fat were so stringy that it was like chewing rubber bands until you finally give up because your jaw is getting tired and you swallow it whole. My girlfriend's filet mignon was dry and tough. DRY and tough! How do you mess up the most tender cut of beef and find a way to make it tough at a restaurant where we're paying $30 for the plate? All this and the waiter was not nearly as attentive and friendly as I'd come to expect here. This makes me so sad. Everything here used to be perfect. The service was awesome every time, for years! The food was ALL awesome every time, for years! And you couldn't beat the ambiance. Now I'm only giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it's still got the ambiance. But that's hardly worth the price. PLEASE figure out what you used to do here as opposed to what you're doing now and GO BACK TO WHAT YOU WERE DOING BEFORE!

Time for an update to the facility. Location is perfect. Parking is sufficient. Waitstaff is super friendly. Food is OK. The back patio outdoor seating is the best because the inside is super dark. Unfortunately, the building is in need of real repairs - - not just screwing shiny metal over the holes in the floor. Patio railing has rotten places that the white table cloths can not disguise. Last night (10/14/14) the whole bar was closed for work on the floor - it was blocked off with chairs, not sign saying what was taking place nor if chemicals & saw dust were getting into the kitchen.

I used to go here with my grandparents when I was about 10 years old. That's how long it's been here. It used to be so much fun to take the "lyft to the loft." But thst fun has kind of worn off and so has the thrill of going to the Warehouse. We recently had dinner there with our friends. Of course being on Admiralty Way, it is bound to attract tourists (buy hey, they keep our fair city in business) so it's usually crowded. It was raining the night we went, so it wasn't too long of a wait with a reservation. We took the "lyft" and it felt more like a creaky elevator to me now that I am jaded and grumpy. We started with Clam Chowder ($6). The addition of thyme and cream sherry did not sit well with my husband. He likes clam chowder with potatoes and bacon. If they'd stopped at those two ingredients, he would have enjoyed it. The Iceberg Wedge ($8) with tomatoes, red onion, bacon, and blue cheese dressing was okay though I did enjoy the Pt. Reyes Blue Cheese. For dinner we had the Prime Rib with garlic mashed potatoes ($32) and the Asian Chicken Trio. ($21) The Trio included satay skewers with peanut sauce, teriyaki scallion rolls. and ponzu chicken breast. I actually felt like there was way too much chicken. I guess it's hard to relive the past, so we probably won't. Food is average in quality, service is okay, and live entertainment is super loud, even upstairs.

Dead-empty on a beautiful Saturday evening in spring. Why? Mediocre food at a ridiculously high price. Dated decor, good service, beautiful location. This place needs a serious overhaul.
